My name is Ganesh and I was born in remote village in the region of Manaslu. Walking (popularly also known as hiking or trekking) in the mountains began at a very young age as it was the major means of transportation. I began my professional journey in the mountains as a trekking porter, and soon I got a break to become an assistant guide in one of the trek. And finally became a guide after passing the certification in 2003. I always try to make my clients happy as I believe that if clients are happy they will visit again and come with their friends. I will be happy to service you and show you the Himalayas.

About Me
I come from the Solukhumbu region, the same region where Mt. Everest is located at. I started my trekking career as a porter in one of the camping tours for multiple weeks. For such a tour, we carry everything from food, drinks, utensils, sleeping and tent arrangements. At 17, I was the youngest in the group and carrying almost 50kg weight on my back wasn’t easy. But the colleagues motivated me, and we completed the tour despite all the challenges. On a lighter note, the food and drinks we consumed along the way did reduce the burden to carry. At the end of the tour, I earned some money and was able to bring it home. This gave me a lot of inspiration to pursue the career in mountaineering, and I decided to become a guide. At 30, I finally managed to achieve my dream when I acquired a trekking guide certification. I have done over 200 tours either as a porter, an assistant guide, or a lead guide. Best thing about being a guide is that it offers me a chance to interact and understand people from different countries.
